Continuing the People's Work

I've truly learned a lot during my first term. I grew immensely thanks to my colleagues and our leadership team. I experienced the amazingness that is my district on an even deeper level, the uniqueness that are my constituents, and the gratefulness I gained from being their representative.

Coming from a working class family, that taught me the importance of community, as well as my work as a community advocate and mental health provider, I actively listened to what was needed and brought various community activities to connect with the people. My constituent coffees and public safety town halls helped the residents of District 13 know, not only how to make themselves and their communities safer, but find the people and resources available to them.

Thanks to my colleagues, often on both sides of the aisle, we were able to pass meaningful and impacting legislation for our state. My goal this term was access in mental health, medical, and preventative health care, which I was able to do, in addition to supporting legislation increasing our educators' pay, free lunches for students on reduced meals, retiree health, and so much more.

I'm proud of the people I got to work with, proud of who they helped me become with their guidance and support. But most of all, I'm still forever honored that the people of District 13 gave me this amazing opportunity to bring change for them and all of Delaware. I look forward to continuing that work.
